Publisher Description
“No fantasy writer working today has a defter touch with Irish magic” (Morgan Llywelyn, author of Lion of Ireland).
Set against the colorful and magical backdrop of Ireland, The Grey Horse chronicles a time when the Irish people suffered under harsh English overlords who sought to destroy their culture and way of life. In the Irish town of Carraroe, a magnificent, completely grey stallion appears. The horse brings with him the promise of better times and magical happenings, for he is actually the shape-shifted form of Ruairi MacEibhir, journeyed to such a time of danger in order to win the hand of the woman he loves.
Customer Reviews
He Gray Horse
It was a good fantasy yarn. The Irish dialect was difficult at first, but after a while I got used to it.
The character development was very good and I hated to see it end.
The Grey Horse
Not a review as much as a recommendation...
I have been a fan of well written fantasy for over 40 years and “The Grey Horse” is on my “top 10 Fantasy” list. It holds its own with the works of McKillip, Le Guin, Tolkien, Cherryh, and Stewart.
