Publisher Description
A dream years in the making becomes reality with the inaugural meeting of The Barefoot Sisterhood...
Jenna Wakefield has been through a lot in her twenty-seven years—losing her mother, becoming a teen mom, and battling depression, just to name a few. And working a dead-end job, barely paying her bills, and fighting unrequited feelings for her boss aren't exactly part of the life she always imagined.
With her six children grown and her husband constantly traveling for work, Elise Griffin finds herself utterly without purpose for the first time ever at age sixty-three. But "retirement" isn't as wonderful as it might sound—it gives her far too much time to think about the affair her husband had a year ago…the one she's never told anyone about.
When both women are invited into the mysterious Barefoot Sisterhood and asked to help restore an old beachside inn for a good cause, they find themselves supported and encouraged in new and exciting ways. This inspiration leads to dream seeking ... and new romance as well.
Discover what happens when women give each other the space to finally dream—and in doing so, make the world a better place.
This feel-good women's fiction novel is a standalone spin-off of Lindsay's Walker Beach Romance series that takes place in the same small town and includes some of the same cast of characters. While you may wish to read that series first, it is not necessary in order to enjoy this one.

HEARTWARMING!
Author Lindsay Harrel has written another book set in Walker Springs and this one is truly heartwarming! Yes, she has an element of a love story (or several!) but there is so much more to this plot! This is the story involving the Barefoot Sisterhood. Several women receive invitations to a meeting of this Barefoot Sisterhood and when they show up, they are presented with an unbelievable plan for revitalizing the Walker Inn. It will take everything each of them has to offer as well as a whole lot more. Mainly, it will require the most of two of the most unlikely of them all. At least that is what the two of them think. In reality, each of them was created for their appointed tasks! This is a beautiful story of women supporting, encouraging, challenging and loving one another. It shows friendships that are tested and come out stronger and in some ways more like family. It shows relationships that are tested and proven to be worthy. It is a wonderfully heartwarming book!

Fantastic must read
This is a beautifully written book centered around the Barefoot Sisterhood. Each member is dealing with something in their lives and we get the privilege to reach about each of these wonderful women. This book is emotional at times, but that just made me feel for these characters more. This book centers more on Jenna, but it makes us look forward to what the other women have gone through. I have to say I absolutely loved reading about Elise and what she’s been keeping a secret and how she’s coping with it. No spoilers, so grab your copy and get ready to find a new series to fall in love with.

Great Women’s Fiction
If you love Women’s Fiction, you will love this book, The Inn at Walker Beach, by Lindsay Harrel. The first book in The Barefoot Sisterhood series features two strong women, Jenna and Elise, who don’t feel like they are strong or even valued. The secondary characters who make up the rest of the sisterhood will surround and support them and help them achieve long-buried dreams. The sisterhood begins working together to restore an old beachside inn, while restoring themselves.
Lindsay Harrel does a masterful job at telling two stories in this book, weaving them together to a satisfying conclusion. She includes heartbreak, sadness, romance, and inspiration. I felt like I had just started reading when I finished the book because it drew me in so thoroughly.
I highly recommend this novel. I know this will be a series not to be missed as Harrel tells the stories of each of these women in need of restoration as much as the inn.
