He wasn’t prepared for the evil that came to the island. William Hill had never been afraid of the dark. He never had reason to.

Why so short?
Hooked
Very well written. Characters are well developed and interesting. It is definitely a page turner! Can't wait to begin book 3.
It got amazingly better!
The first book I thought was extremely boring, too much detail, not enough of anything happening. But it did build a great foundation for the story.
I originally was going to stop once I got to the last page of book one, but I am a reader who hates having read only one book if a series. And I am glad for it.
To sum it up, the end of book two has placed the series, and author, on my list of must read and reread books.
