Publisher Description

In the literature of all countries there will be found a certain number of works treating especially of love. Everywhere the subject is dealt with differently, and from various points of view. In the present publication it is proposed to give a complete translation of what is considered the standard work on love in Sanscrit literature, and which is called the 'Vatsyayana Kama Sutra, ' or Aphorisms on Love, by Vatsyayana. It may be interesting to some persons to learn how it came about that Vatsyayana was first brought to light and translated into the English language. While translating with the pundits the 'Anunga runga, or the stage of love, ' reference was frequently found to be made to one Vatsya.

Needs to grab readers attention

Translated from the original work. A bit difficult to read / get into. I spend more time looking up words or referencing things then actually reading the book. Can't give it five stars because it's a boring read.

The Kama Sutra

I don't think the readers are truly appreciating the contents. Kama Sutra is about the imagination. No pics means using the ol' noggin once again. Really love that. If you just want pictures you can pick up a playboy/girl. Spending too much time to understand it is like saying you have no time to put into your relationship. On the other hand taking the time to research the old stuff is quite fascinating. It slows me down and gives me permissin to breathe, relax and enjoy.

There is no gay Kama Sutra

Think about it like a human being, not everything is going to be "re-done" because a very small group of self centered people want it to be. . .grow up.
