I couldn't wait to flip each page to discover what would happen next while at the same time forcing myself to go slowly to savor each nuance. It's a compelling story that brings the Half Moon House series to a fitting conclusion.

I was captivated very quickly . . . a lovely historical romance and I wanted to read the rest of the books in the series.

At Half Moon House, any woman can come to Hestia Wright for help. She’ll move heaven and earth to make things right for the downtrodden women of England—but she’ll never give her heart to another man.
The Earl of Stoneacre has long admired Hestia. He can’t help but be smitten with a woman with her strength, honor and purpose—not to mention her legendary beauty. But she’s made her indifference plain, and Stoneacre is not a man to push in where he’s not wanted.
Now they’ve been ordered to work together to defeat the Wicked Lord Marstoke once and for all. As the uneasy allies face untold peril and confront their pasts, trust and passion grow . . . but the greatest danger of all might be succumbing to a love that could never survive the obstacles in their way.
This is the last book in “The Half Moon House” series and what a book it was.
Hestia Wright has spent most of her life after the man that ruined her and many other women and lead others down the path of treachery, deceit and treason. She setup Half Moon House to help those women ruined by him and give them the will and skill to make a new life for themselves.
John Everett, the Earl of Stoneacre works for the Prince Regent and is told to work with the one women he can’t have Hestia Wright. This just might be worst time of his life or the best if he could convince the women to give him a chance.
Hestia knows how Stoneacre feels but knows she can never have the life or love he offers. Spending this time with him just might be the end of her. Spending time in close quarters and in dangerous situations shows them both the true person and just how brilliant they are together. Maybe they could have this one time and go their separate way. Best laid plans and actions just may prove to be their undoing.
This book has a great romance and nail biting suspense. I highly recommend this series and it should be read in order.
The epilogue is awesome!
