Clever

This is a very compelling and well told tale that keeps the pages turning from beginning to end.

Mashup mess

This mashup between John Grisham’s The Firm and the “historical mystery” theme of basically every Clive Cussler is as satisfying as last week’s leftovers. While the Middle Ages flashbacks are engaging, the work unfortunately returns again and again to present day. This is the blue plate special of mystery writing: not terribly unique and nothing to encourage return patronage. But at least the price was fair.
