Mothersea
For a long and fruitless time, I’ve searched for a really great invasion-oriented novel. I found it in Stephen Renneberg’s THE MOTHERSEA.
Building off of an earlier novel (which I will have to read next) he has created a cast of both vivid alien characters and human characters. As the tension and action build, and periodically explode, we are also treated to a skillfully written and researched novel that unfolds in the classic was of Well, Clarke and Bradbury.
The ending is very satisfying and in the most skillful of ways, leaves the reader on edge with the possibility of more to come. Just a wonderful book.
