The Odd Job
The Adjustor, no. 1
Publisher Description
How would you feel about being hired away from a dismal office job, to work for a consortium of elder gods? Declan Aingeal wasn't sure how he felt either. One moment he is toiling away under endless stacks of paperwork and the next he is dealing with an army of killer clones and monsters of legend. It sounds like more than he bargained for, but how could he say no to the perks only gods can provide? Weapons forged by gods, the best sidekicks a guy could ask for and a sexually frustrated car to drive. As long as the girl he has a crush on doesn't eat him, things should work out just fine.
Dive into the series that people are calling a Harry Potter series for the older readers.

Cannot wait for more
I read the series and am impatiantly waiting for more to come (Book5).
I won't spoil the story here but if you like books from Pratchett, Gaiman, Colfer or Butcher then this is for you.
Please more...and soon!
Great teaser… Can't wait to read 'Sharp Things!'
What do you get when you mix James Bond, mythology, and a vampire (okay excuse me, succubae)? Well, 'The Odd Job: Book One of The Adjuster Series' of course! On the outset you are drawn into the book by it's lead character, Declan Aingeal. You follow his purposeful resigned commitment to a job lorded over by a spiteful boss to becoming a well respected and highly praised "Adjuster." What's an Adjuster you might ask? Well let’s just say he's "…like a messenger for the Gods, as well as a handyman and delivery boy. There may be times where and when (he is) called upon to be a champion as well, in every sense of the word…" True to form Declan becomes that and more. Then just when things get real interesting, you're left hanging… Don't fret however, for a mere few dollars more you can pick up where you left off in 'Sharp Things!' The description of ‘The Odd Job’ is what caught my eye as I perused 20 pages of free Sci-Fi & Fantasy books but the author's, Brennan Barrett, well crafted story is what kept me coming back for more. If this quirky combination of genres interest you, by all means I highly recommend that you download this book and read it now!
