We adore paranormal-romance writer Jeaniene Frost’s steamy Night Huntress series, and now we’ve got a whole new side of the love story between hunky British vampire Bones and feisty American vampire hunter Cat—his! This is basically Frost’s first Cat and Bones novel, Halfway to the Grave, retold from Bones’ perspective. We get a lot more backstory on why Bones wants to take out the evil vampires, and we see a whole different side of of the quippy, butt-kicking Cat when viewing her through Bones’ appraising eyes. Even if you’ve never read any of the other books in Frost’s sexy, action-packed series (think Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Anne Rice fans), this darker, even sexier reboot is a perfect starting point.

Nice trip down memory lane
Cat and Bones are one of the best PNR couples of all time. This was a very nice look into Bones’ side of their beginning. I would have liked a little bit more of Bones, Spade, and Ian’s relationships, since there’s over 200 years of history there, and none of that was included in “Halfway to the Grave”. Time to re-read the whole Night Huntress series (again)!

I just love it all!! Couldn’t put it down, if I woke up at night I read until I fell back to sleep and read every chance I could. Can’t wait to read more of Cat and Bones!!
