Publisher Description
New York Times bestselling author Jaci Burton presents a story about love and the games people play in the first irrisistible novel in the Play-by-Play series...
The last thing event planner Tara Lincoln needs is the jet-set lifestyle of a football pro like Mick Riley; even though their steamy and passionate one-night stand proved that Mick is an all-star-both on the field and in the bedroom.
Tara played the game of love once and lost big, and she doesn't intend to put herself out there again, especially with a certified heartbreaker. But when Mick sets his mind to win, nothing will stop him. And he has the perfect play in mind to catch this sultry vixen.

This book
Great read
not good writing
i just got finished reading the fourth wing series and i wanted to switch it up a bit from romantsy and i have to say this was a let down. the description in this book wasn’t great i didn’t know what the characters were wearing or how their body language was half the time in this book so i couldn’t imagine it in my head well. very predictable and the steamy scenes are way to quick for my liking and the dialogue was either just cringey or uncalled for, nothing that gave me butterflies. some passages were also very repetitive. however i like the characters and they are cute but the writing style is just not good and bad description i dont recommend.
Great Start to a Series!
I enjoy sports romances, and this was a good one. The main characters, Tara and Mick, were great together. They were both truly nice people, and I liked the relationship that developed between them. The chemistry between them was good too. Tara's son, Nathan, as well as Mick's family, added to the story. I enjoyed the storyline and was kept interested all the way through. I liked the way everything played out in the book, and I'm very much looking forward to reading the next one.
