Publisher Description
Seldarin and Krynn are Dark Fae—one a warrior and one a scholar, they have something in common—for years they have been searching for the Lost Princess. Stolen from her cradle just nine days after her birth, Princess Lilliana is the last known descendant of Lolth, the Spider Queen. Sel and Krynn have almost given up hope of finding her when, on the very day an imposter is about to take the throne, the Lost Princess herself stumbles into the Hallowed Clearing.
Lily has no idea she’s the Lost Princess. As a divorced, middle-aged mom with no job skills, she’s been living in her minivan. Too poor to even afford a jar of peanut butter, she is drawn to the Hallowed Clearing by an amazing, otherworldly scent and the sound of magical music. When Sel and Krynn recognize her by her birthmark, a race against time begins.
Now Lily has only days before she must ascend to the Throne of the Midnight Court. But in that time she must avoid assassination attempts and suffer through a transformation that leaves her beautiful…but deadly. For now she is subject to the Thirst—a craving for blood and sex that renders her so dangerous, she might kill anyone who is brave enough to try and satiate her needs.
Krynn and Sel know their Lady is a danger…but it’s too late to care. Both are in love with her. They join to give her pleasures she’s never dreamed of, but the Court doesn’t approve of the relationship between the Princess and her guards.
Will Lily live to become…the Queen of Midnight?

When the world is against you
With just two books the author has made this one of my favorite series. I love the strength in the ladies, how they overcome so much adversity and hate to reach their full potential, and I love the guys that are strong enough to always have their backs. The characters in this book seem to make taking one on the cheek an art form. They have mastered the silent work around to buck the wishes of their oppressors and reach their goals anyway. The author returned us to the land of fae with three new characters to rally behind and evil doers who need to get what’s coming to them. I love the way they make their way to each other as they forge their own path, healing those around them. I especially enjoyed the little hint of more to come and I can only hope the story comes to fruition. Until then, I will enjoy going back and starting over again with the story that began it all.
