Fabulous Series
Another great visit to Lake Bittersweet. This time we get Kendra’s story. Kendra and Jason were “friends” in high school and Kendra always remembers Jason helping her out one night when she was out with a friend. Now Kendra is back in Lake Bittersweet after a bad breakup and helping her dad out with his restaurant. Jason is getting over a breakup from his on/off again girlfriend who left him and got married after their breakup. Now they are both getting friendly and have friends telling them about them needing a rebound so that they can move on. Jason starts to have feelings for Kendra that go beyond a rebound relationship and he wants more with her. I loved the friendship that grew between them and how they both were there for each other and how they fell in love.
I love all of the Lake Bittersweet books, it is a wonderful series. Definitely recommend this book and series overall.
Very Entertaining Read
Jason and Kendra’s story is very sweet. Neither character is thinking long term but love gets in the way. They both work for the very love of their town, and in doing so actually achieve their own dreams. Very worthwhile read. By the way, hot firefighter is always fun.

Jason Mosedale and Kendra Carter were friends of sorts in high school, when the fiercely driven Kendra occasionally tutored jokester Jason. Kendra has returned to Lake Bittersweet after a painful betrayal to regroup and give her father a hand running his bar and grill. Jason is recovering from his own broken relationship, and these seeming opposites are finding they may have plenty more in common than they might have thought…
Jennifer Bernard’s THE REBOUND is the fifth in her stellar Lake Bittersweet series, and is every bit as warmly readable as the preceding stories. There is a lovely sense of family, both blood and found, and supportive community that runs throughout. It is deeply satisfying to witness Kendra coming to recognize her own strength and trust her own instincts, and Jason is a wonderfully steadfast friend and more who truly has grown into a man worthy of her. I can’t wait to visit Lake Bittersweet again!
