The Second Closure

HE WALKS IN UNARMED. THEY LOCK THE GATE.

Mercy Lock was built to take men out of sight and out of memory. An old mine works welded to new iron, it is a place where the air is taken, the names are taken, and the truth is buried beneath rock and silence.

J. Sable leaves his horse behind and walks in on foot, with nothing in his hands and a right hand that cannot fight. He isn't coming to break Mercy Lock. He's coming to discover what they buried-and close what was left open when they took the names.

Inside these walls are ledgers that don't balance, contracts written in other men's blood, and a closure that never held. Powerful men have counted on fear, isolation, and silence to keep their secrets buried. But Sable has followed the trail too far to turn back now.

His arrival won't start a rescue.

It will start an accounting.

Every name taken leaves a trail. Every secret carries a cost. And when the past finally catches up with Mercy Lock, those responsible will discover that some debts refuse to stay buried.

SOME TRAILS END WHERE THEY BEGAN.

The Second Closure, Book Three of the No-Blood Trail, continues Joseph Wayne Dunn's Western saga of justice, courage, reckoning, and redemption.
