The Secret Keeper

Enjoyable read! Engaging characters in a story about what can happen when doing someone a favor.

Grant reluctantly agrees to take a thumb drive that he believes contains the digitally encrypted formula designed by one of his patients that says he’s in fear for his life. It’s just Francois has no family or friends that he could give it to without putting them in danger. If something happened to Francois, Grant has one person he could alert that he’s able to pass the thumb drive along to.
Within a matter of days, it just so happens that his car gets hit by another car, Bobby gets his leg broken and ends up in a cast, unable to work for awhile...then his office gets broken into. Not many psychiatric offices get broken into these days, but his did. Well, life just went from bad to worse for the Dr. who tries to do so much good. He’s got no idea what he’s really in for.
Another great book by Tom Bierdz! Grant finds himself in some serious trouble this time as he’s trying to figure his way out.

One of Grant Garrick’s patients, a very paranoid individual whom he had been treating for two years, tells Grant he has an untreatable tumor and also that he is protecting some data from the people with whom he worked and gives him a flash drive asking that he keep it temporarily and for him to give it to someone if anything happens to him. When he fails to keep an appointment Grant contacts the Police but does not tell them about the flash drive. All of a sudden there are a series of incidents that lead him into a situation that is peopled by spies, killers and the authorities. I won’t go further into any of it because of spoilers, however it is very well plotted and filled with complex characters. All in all, this was good reading. Thanks to the author and publisher for an ARC for an honest review.
