It’s a rough and ready world living in Wales in the 12th C while civil war in England leaves Cymru time to sort the kinks in their own affairs. We all like plucky Gwen and romantic Sir Gareth, who form a detective team for Prince Hywel. Their lives are ready for cinematic treatment.
The novel does not fail to give it!
