Do I fear for me … or is it me that I fear?

When Charlotte and Sam move to a coastal town, they hope the fresh start will mend their fragile marriage. However, an antique vanity Charlotte brings home soon begins to cast a strange hold over her.

Charlotte's reflection in the mirror appears to harbor something more than her image. The voice of someone—or something—begins to invade her thoughts, blurring the line between herself and an unsettling other. As she slips further from reality, Sam tries to pull her back, only to face unexplained horrors that test his deepest fears.

Meanwhile, a series of brutal murders rocks the sleepy town. For centuries, the area has been plagued by mass murder, and the key lies within a journal written by a survivor of a convict ship and among the scrolls of ancient Mesopotamian texts.

Racing against time, Sam begins a frantic search to find the one thing that can save his wife before the police close in, and she is lost forever.
