Her: Just a word, yet one person came to mind.
Morrigan St. Pete.
The woman that’d been hounding my every step since the day she was born. From the moment we first comforted each other in the hospital, to the day that I left her to follow her dreams, I knew that she was my one.
Through marriage, divorce, and a prison sentence, I had low expectations when it came to her ever coming around to my way of life. What kind of woman wanted a man that’d been to prison, had a child that disliked him and everything he stood for, and had zero prospects in life?
But then she popped into my life again, and that feeling of suffocation slacked off for the first time since I let her go.
***
The first time I tried to come back to Aodhan, I found him married with a kid on the way.
The second time I tried, he was heading to jail.
As one would say, the third time is the charm, right? Wrong.
The third time, he was divorced, fresh from prison, had a kid, and was again with his ex-wife.
That was the final nail in my coffin. I decided to give up.
I would do anything and everything I could to avoid him. Hiding wasn’t beneath me.
I only wish he’d stuck with my plan, because the moment he sees me again, it’s like he’s seen the light. Avoiding him is impossible when he goes out of his way to insinuate himself into every aspect of my life.
If only life was as perfect as my dreams.

SO Much Fun!
I sometimes forget how much fun reading a book by author Lani Lynn Vale can be. If my life was like the ones of, oh, ANY of her characters, I'm not sure that I'd know what to do with myself. The worlds that she creates are crazy and action-packed, but always so filled with love, and I can't help but wish that I know these folks and could be part of their lives.
THE VOICES ARE BACK is a ways into the Gator Bait MC series, but, truly, I feel like you can jump right in whichever book finds you, and you'll be fine. You'll want to go back and read all of the preceding books, and probably anything else in Lani's catalog that you might have missed, so there is that.
I totally love Morrigan and Aodhan and their twisty road to togetherness, and can't wait for the next book in the series. Any Lani fans out there that haven't read this one, now's the time, and everyone else, now is also the time. There's the usual madness and mayhem, but, as I said, also lots and lots of love, so make sure that THE VOICES ARE BACK is on your TBR, jump in, and enjoy! ❤️
Continually obsessed with LLV and her books and this series!
Continually obsessed with LLV and her books and this series! Morrigan and Aodhan were in love at a young age, but with Morrigan’s dreams, Aodhan broke up with her so she could fulfill those dreams starting with college without him so he wouldn’t hold her back. They made a pact to find each other if they were still single years later, but everything changed when Aodhan got married, had a child, and then went to prison, causing Morrigan to avoid him after moving back as to keep his family together. All that changes when Morrigan’s medical issues bring her right back into Aodhan’s life and he makes sure that he won’t let her go a second time after still having the same feelings as he did back then, and she matches them. There are some twists and turns throughout the book, even involving Aodhan’s child which had me on the edge of my seat, and per usual these characters get their hilarious HEA in true LLV fashion. Can’t wait for the next book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Love this couple!
Morrigan an and Aodhan are a fabulous addition to the Gator Bait series! I fell in love with them immediately. Their relationship and love for one another goes way back and it’s a sad tale of each trying to do the best and failing each of them miserably. But the pact they had still stands, if at 30 they still don’t have significant others they will get married!
Except they are still trying to do the right thing by each other, and failing each other miserably….AGAIN! Until they decide to just go for it because life is to short and if the past and present haven’t hammered that into their heads nothing will! You can’t help but enjoy this Gator Bait crew together and watching a new couple find their way to a HEA.
I love how Lani takes a subject or illness or lifestyle that most won’t tackle and bring it to light in her story lines. This book is a perfect example of that. It educates as well as tells one heck of a story!
