The Washington Bearnap is the first instalment of the 'Jake in a State' series of chapter books.


Primarily for 6 to 9 year olds, it's the humorous tale of a small 'travelling bear' Jake and his quest to visit all of the 50 States in the U.S.


Constantly chased by the piratical penguin Captain Penhallagan and his piggy sidekick Keith, Jake's adventure is a litany of kidnap, peril and excitement.


Added also into the series mix is the educational advantage of discovering essential state facts that blend seamlessly into the present primary school curriculum
