Publisher Description
#1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood brings the soaring adventure, love and rivalry of medieval Scotland to glorious life in this classic historical romance.
Journeying from England to Scotland, Lady Brenna has resigned herself to an arranged match with a highlander. But when a band of fierce, painted warriors captures her en route, she fearlessly meets their demand to instead marry their leader—her betrothed’s sworn enemy—the quick-tempered Connor MacAlister.
Brenna harbors no illusions that her husband is in love with her, but their shared past gives her hope. Maybe the laird who once visited her father’s castle and charmed her with a dazzling, unexpected smile remains underneath Connor’s stern exterior.
But as she sets out to win the man whom she has come to adore, a legacy of revenge ensnares Brenna in a furious clan war—and only her faith in her new husband can save her...
Includes an excerpt of another beloved Julie Garwood highland romance, The Bride

Copy, paste of The Bride
Don’t get me wrong, obviously I liked The Bride and liked this one as well, but it was basically a copy & paste of The Bride lol same story different characters (and Jamie and Alec from The Bride were in this book too, just much older now).
I had the same issue in this book as The Bride. The FMC was ANNOYING, dumb, immature, etc. The MMC was suburb as was the case with Alec in The Bride.
The love story was beautiful, the passion was perfect, just be prepared to roll your eyes a bunch at all the dumb things the FMC does and says.
The Wedding
The wedding was my very first book that I read from author Julie Garwood. I have since read everything that she has published. You can NOT go wrong with a Julie Garwood book. Her characters are full of personality and come to life with every turn of the page. Excellent Author. I personally own every one of her books. I even own extras of her books. Sometimes I loan them out to dear friends and they want to hold onto them for a while. The Wedding was filled with so much exceiment. I started it in the evening and could not put it down to go to sleep that night. Very Well Written!
