The Will
Publisher Description
In 1905, through the book al-Wassiyat (The Will), Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) informed his community that according to divine revelations, his demise was near. The Promised Messiah(as) highlights two blessed institutions in this book; the system of Wassiyat and the establishment of Khilafat.
Those who entered the system of Wassiyat would make a testamentary disposition for the cause of Islam, vowing to leave behind at least 1/10th or up to 1/3rd of their property for the cause of Islam while also creating a special spiritual revolution within themselves throughout their life.
After detailing this blessed scheme, the Promised Messiah(as) gives the illustrious glad tidings of Allah’s “second manifestation” that would be established after his demise. The Promised Messiah(as) describes this through the example of Hazrat Abu Bakr(ra), who was chosen by Allah to lead the Muslims as the first Khalifa of Islam following the demise of the Holy Prophet(sa). The Promised Messiah(as) also refers to Surah al-Nur, verse 56, in which Allah promises those Muslims who believe and do good works the blessing of Khilafat.
The Promised Messiah(as) explains that the “second manifestation” would be until the end of times and established by Allah.
