Publisher Description
Some scars run deeper than skin.
In the storm-ravaged coastal settlement of Ebonpeak, lightning scars the land and raiders rule the seas. Six years after Desolation Day stole everything she loved, Samara has forged herself into a weapon—scarred, unbreakable, and consumed by the need for vengeance.
When enemy ships breach their shores, Samara discovers that her greatest threats don't come from the churning seas. Rafael, the enigmatic raider, weaves lies as skillfully as he wields a blade. And Erik has been her tormentor for years, but his hatred may not be what it seems.
As buried secrets surface and loyalties shift, Samara must choose between the revenge that's sustained her and a terrifying future tied too closely to her past. But in a world where trust is deadly and love is a luxury few survive, some scars run too deep to heal, and to Samara's surprise, some enemies are worth saving.
This gripping tale of survival, redemption, and fierce love continues the soul-stirring Forgotten Lands series, where hope blooms in the harshest storms.

Lindsey has given us another fantastic world and community that is so different from ours. I love the tiny village and it’s inhabitants, especially Samara. She is strong, determined, and imperfectly perfect. I can think of no better escape from my Covid vacation than to be transported to the Forgotten Lands.
Good, but didn’t tie to the series.
I like all of Lindsey’s books, including this one. I enjoyed reading it, but for me, it didn’t tie into the first three (counting the prequel), so it was a little disappointing. It was bit predictable, I knew right away who the main character was going to end up falling for.
Another great read by Lindsey Pogue!
I have loved all of Lindsey Pogue’s books, and this is no different. Tide and Tempest is an incredible journey to a post apocalyptic world. Seeing Samara grow and change is amazing. I hope we get to see more about her in the future. I also love seeing how some real cities are imagined in the future.
