This eBook provides an overview of addiction treatments and illustrates how research is used to evaluate and improve treatment options. The Substance Abuse Research Education and Training (SARET) Program is an innovative initiative to spur interest in substance use and related research among students from diverse disciplines. SARET is a collaboration between NYU’s School of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Dentistry, School of Social Work and College of Global Public Health.
