Spicy, sweet, single mom romance
𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤: 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 includes the first book in the Trick series by Laramie Briscoe, the novella, 𝐔𝐧𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐌𝐞, the Trick and Hadley text messages, and the first chapter of Declan’s book! This story features a sweet and spicy single mom romance for Trick and Hadley, where they both are getting a second chance of sorts. He’s an ex-con on parole ordered to participate in a mentoring program for kids, and she’s a single mom struggling to find her way after leaving a bad marriage. Desperate to help her little girl, Riley, out of the shell she has retreated into, she signed up for the program. Trick and Hadley just never expected to also feel a connection between the two of them. As Trick falls for both these ladies, is there hope for real happiness once his community service is over?
I’ll admit, at first I was knocked back a step by a single mom who’s concerned about her daughter, signing her up to be mentored by a male ex-con fresh out of prison. It seemed like a crazy risk to take. However, once Trick was on the scene, I liked him right away, especially the way he was with Riley, his little “Sprite.” I enjoyed the progression of the romance between Trick and Hadley, and how behind closed doors, they brought the HEAT!🥵 The only drama in this one came from outside their relationship, and it was an interesting wrinkle, and I love the way they handled it. It was great to see two strong characters who had been through different struggles find the happiness and stability they deserved with an adorable little girl to sweeten the pot and steal the show! The extras in the Special Edition were fantastic, and I’m looking forward to reading Declan’s book as soon as I can!
I also ended up grabbing an audio copy narrated by Ariel Royce and Christopher Rourke, who both did a great job bring these characters to life, whether it was banter, emotional, or spicy!

Extra Special Edition
What a great read!! Trick (Patrick) has a choice: community service or jail time. He chooses a program to match up men with kids who need a father figure. Hadley, the single parent of 6 yr old Riley, signs up her daughter after her father's sugar baby wants nothing to do with kids. Trick & Riley hit it off and Hadley is warming up to the "rough around the edges" motorcycle mechanic and shop owner. These are interesting, compelling characters, the storyline well paced, great sizzle, steam, drama, and more. And as a bonus, you get "Unwrap Me", Trick & Hadley's continuing story. Great read!!.
