Suspense
This time Ms. St. Klaire got me with a challenging intrigue opening with the murder of a highly respected police detective who was also a mentor, father figure and all around great man. Truly Payne thinks of the deceased as a father figured and mentor as does her former partner CT who she calls to help find out who killed him.The two count on CT’s team and friends, The Keepers to help. The more they look they discover that its not just a murder but a lot more.People keep being killed every time Truly and CT talk to them. They discover that its not just current deaths but past ones as well as they keep pulling at the clues that are left for them from an unknown source. This book is fast, intriguing and full of heart.Truly has lost pretty much anyone she has loved and even though she has feelings for CT she keeps trying to push him away.
The clues keep adding up and when they have them all and think they have finally caught the person behind this there is a shocking twist as to who actually pulled the trigger.
St. Klaire writes masterful intrigue with a lot of heart.

Great Plot!
Loved this! Stephanie St. Klaire pays attention to details & keeps her readers on the edge of their seats. I enjoyed the dialogue between Truly & CT. The supporting characters were equally well written. The Brothers Keepers series has drama, mystery & suspense that could be pulled from today’s headlines & mixes in sarcasm & humor. If you want a story to allow you to escape & be drawn completely into a book this story is for you!
