Raelynn
I don’t do impulsive. Impulsive killed the love of my life. Stole my one shot at happiness. So when I heard about a K&R firm in Seattle looking for new recruits, I took a chance. They say they’re a family, but I’m still an outsider. Maybe that’s by choice.
This orderly, controlled life ain’t the one I wanted, but I’m making the best of it. Until I meet a man who sets me on fire. We burn hot, but he’s got secrets. Then again, so do I. I’m startin’ to think nothin’ can douse these flames. Except a killer hell-bent on revenge.
Nash
I don’t make plans. Or friends. Or stay in one place for more than six months.
But when I rescue a drop-dead gorgeous Texan spitfire in the middle of a storm, I start to realize just how lonely I’ve been. I shouldn’t start anything with Raelynn, but my heart has other plans.
Now my past is catching up with me. I’m on the wrong side of a whole lot of crap, and the only way out? Letting Raelynn in.
I’m putting her in danger. So why can’t I walk away?

Amazing Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Emotional!
It is always great to be back in Patricia D. Eddy “Away From Keyboard” world, one of my favorite series and worlds to spend time in. Eddy is a gifted author with a creative mind and I am a huge fan of her writing, her storylines are interesting and captivate my attention from start to end. This eleventh book of this series is Raelynn and Nash’s story, and what a story it is, from their heartbreaking backstories to the present time when they come into each other’s lives. Raelynn met the love of her life and thought they would be spending the rest of their time together, but fate had other plans. She left Texas to start over, found a new family in AFK, though she is still learning the meaning of family with them, something her coworkers remind her of. Raelynn first bumped into Nash while at a Krav Maga class and again when she crashed her bike. The two hit it off, and Nash, who does not let anyone get close to him, offered to help her out with fixing things around her house. Nash has a tragic past and has been on the run since then, afraid his past will come back for him, so he never stays in one place very long. He never talks about his past or what happened, but he feels a bond with Raelynn, though he can not share exactly what happened, he shares some. She knows he has secrets, but she has a few of her own, including what she really does with AFK. When Nash’s past catches up with him, all bets are off, and she turns to her team, her family, for help. They find out who and what Nash has been running from his entire life. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful slow burn romance. Patricia D. Eddy, thanks for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose did a fabulous job bringing the characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting, and they were believable in every role they played. As Nash, Snow nailed it, capturing his demeanor perfectly, and Rose performed Raelynn excellently, capturing her fierceness and her insecurities. Her accent was spot-on, as was her delivery of the witty dialogue. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
Love this series
