“In the beginning, there was the word...”
Having read all of the books in the Mike B. Good saga, I found it very satisfying to read this prequel to the first story, “Breaking Good.” In this tale we learn about young Mikey’s tormented upbringing at the hands of the most powerful people in America’s 1960’s, all in the context of a well-summarized review of the major events and social unrest of the period. For a California “Baby Boomer” this was like being in a time machine, and a must-read for all “Grey-Hairs.” For the younger crowd, “Turning On” is a must read...for the history lesson if not the motivation to do something other than be a “square” in pursuit of the “American Dream” (whatever that is...). Cheers to Mike B. Good and “Turning On.” Read it and help Mike’s philanthropic mission to make the world a more peaceful place.
