“Twelve Sisters” is a 5000-word sequel to the Grimm Brothers’ tale “The Twelve Dancing Princesses” (aka “The Shoes that Danced Themselves to Pieces”). It was first published in the anthology The Underwater Ballroom Society, edited by Stephanie Burgis and Tiffany Trent (2018).
