Publisher Description
This is a jury selection case. The issue is whether plaintiffs in a products liability case should be allowed to ask prospective
jurors whether they are biased against non-users of seat belts when the defense claims the decedent's failure to wear a seat
belt contributed to her death from a deploying air bag. The objection is that the seat belt questions would unfairly screen
the jury pool by pre-testing juror attitudes about certain evidence in advance of hearing the evidence.
