Villareal v. Steve's and Sons Doors

In 2001, the Texas Legislature amended section 406.033 of the Texas Labor Code to provide that any agreement by an employee
to waive a cause of action against a non-subscribing employer for an injury sustained in the course and scope of employment
is void and unenforceable if the agreement is made before the employee sustains the injury.
