VEIL OF NIGHT
Jaclyn Wilde is a wedding planner who loves her job—usually. But helping Carrie Edwards with her Big Day has been an unrelenting nightmare. Carrie is a bridezilla of mythic nastiness, yet the unpleasant task at hand turns seriously criminal when Carrie is brutally murdered and everyone involved with the ceremony is accusing one another of doing the deed. Assigned to the case, Detective Eric Wilder finds that there’s too much evidence pointing toward too many suspects. Compounding his problems is Jaclyn, now a prime suspect, with whom he shared one deeply passionate night before Carrie’s death. As the heat intensifies between Eric and Jaclyn, a cold-blooded murderer moves dangerously close. And this time the target is not a bride but one particularly irresistible wedding planner, unaware of a killer’s vow.
BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Linda Howard's Prey.

Veil of Night
Loved it I think Linda Howard can use these characters again in another murder mystery / wedding book. It brought back a lot of memories for me helping my mom work weddings and all the stuff that can happen. Boy I could sure tell this author some things that she would love to have in a book.
Mislead!
Based on the reviews I bought this book hoping that Ms. Howard had gotten back to her previous format - boy was I mislead! It seems Ms. Howard doesn't like character development anymore, nor does it seem like there is much worthwhile interaction between the hero and heroine. Also, as a high school teacher I'm constantly bombarded by foul language and crude comments so I'm not really happy when the male hero of my adult romance novel is as vulgar as my high school students! He is an adult isn"t heI think I'll stick to rereading Ms Howard"s older books where there was actually a love story interwoven amongst all the intrigue and the hero had a smudge more decorum.
Veil of Night
So Hysterical! I lol’ed a lot with our hero in this story. Eric is precious. Very sexy read.
