Fitting Wrap-up for Ravenpaw

Being a fan of Warriors since the first ark of books, I've long awaited a continuation of Ravenpaws's story. The novella starts around the last moon of Ravenpaws's long and happy life with Barley, and the way he died in Skyclan territory, still without taking a Warrior's name, like he was offered. As I'm reading this on my cell phone, tears rained onto my screen as Ravenpaw took his last few breaths, and somewhat felt the pain of Barley, much in the same way I cried at Firestar's death, staining the pages of my autographed Last Hope. I've been reading these books for 12 years, starting out when I was actually the target demographic: a preteen. Over these past 12 (almost 13) years now, I've really grown attached to these characters, and deaths tend to shake me up. This book also made me realize how much I ship Ravenpaw and Barley. While knowing deep down it wouldn't be put into a book, since it's a children's series, and having a same-sex relationship would cause a big uproar among some people, I also held the hope that the Erins would be progressive enough to possibly have them as mates. This novella let my thoughts fly though, as their close bond was evident, and leaves room for some level of reader interpretation. With the sixth ark of the series approaching though, I wonder, "how much longer can this series keep going?" I remember hearing that the 5th ark would be the last ark, but with this sixth one, I will be at least content with official Warriors publications for at least 3 year. But when the fated day of the last Warriors book of all time comes, I will probably cry for a long time. (I further apologize for the tangent you just read)
