Water Works

Water Works is part of the Smithsonian Science Stories Literacy Series. Water Works features short stories and is aligned to grade 5 standards with a focus on science and engineering. In Water Works, students will read about water use and water distribution on Earth. They will also read about how people solve problems related to getting water to places where it is needed. 



Water Works includes the following features: 


- Stories that focus on the impact of human interaction with water

- Stories that highlight science and engineering careers

- Incorporation of content based on environmental impact research at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and Smithsonian Environmental Research Center
