The Elephant Queen Stories are inspired by the remarkable wildlife documentary The Elephant Queen, an Apple Original, now available on Apple TV+. Written by the film’s writer-director Mark Deeble, an Emmy® and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker, these books draw young readers into the world of Athena, a majestic elephant matriarch, and her family.
In Wewe’s World, readers meet Wewe, a baby elephant who introduces us to his family, including his grandmother, Athena. We get to know his amazing home—known as the Kingdom—and meet all the incredible animals that live at the waterhole, from Dudu the dung beetle and Kamili the chameleon to Stephen the goose.
Not one complaint.
I loved it! Especially the fun facts part at the end!
1st week of first grade.
Perfect starter for my son’s enthusiasm. It is very difficult to deal with a little boy who prefers to run and play, however the simple language used to explain was exactly what we needed and also funny. He reread just to be able to say poop. A plus for attraction I can’t wait to read the rest with him.
Worth the read
It’s such a nice and informative book. The illustrations are nice to look at and it’s the perfect book to read to my children. I myself learned a couple of things reading it. Definitely would read it to them again.
