What on Earth‪?‬

Unnatural. Unexpected. Inexplicable. Bizarre. Those are just a few of the thoughts that came to mind upon seeing the strangely similar shapes at the geographical center of four continents.

Closer inspection did nothing to dispel those thoughts: each feature has an angular arc measuring 120 degrees, and the highest elevation within each arc was found to lie exactly on the midpoint. Geologically, though, the features are very different from one another. The North American arc shape is a glacial deposit, rising only three hundred feet above the surrounding plain; the shape at the center of Africa is a high plateau; in Australia, the structure has no discernible elevation gain; while snow-capped mountains form part of the Asian arc.

What in the world is going on?

This book describes the lead up to the discovery of this enigma, and through the process of attempting to answer the what, how, why, and when, reveals the many similarities that exist and uncovers evidence of who may have been responsible.
