Winter in Georgia

Winter in Georgia seemed normal this year,
better than some of the past I hear,
ice storms were common I recall,
yet to see snow before the end of fall.

A white Christmas we had at last,
followed by a real Arctic cold blast,
a long cold spell to thin the bugs out,
good for peaches and end the drought.

We average one or two inches of snow,
winter of 2010-2011 gave us nine though,
as for global warming I have no fear,
global weather change is normal I hear.
