The romance takes a backseat to the mystery, but both move the story forward charmingly.

This book was okay. I thought the premise and the two main characters were entertaining. The mystery was fairly interesting. It just didn't come together for me in the end. There were some scenes that lasted too long and were kind of awkward.
With his lady’s assistance
Well written story of the prince of England’s two assignation attempts on his life. He called back to England one of its best spies who was fighting on the peninsula and had him join with a very smart spinster to find the culprits. Not only did they find out who they were, but in the process fell in love.
