Publisher Description
EJ Bertuzzi didn’t expect to be a father so soon in life, and he’s had to rely on others for help when it comes to taking care of his little princess, Bree. At first, it was his mom, and after a long, excruciating search, it’s now his attractive nanny, Raelynn. But EJ has some insecurities. Not to mention, the last thing he needs to do is something to cause his perfect nanny to quit.
Raelynn Woods is a young single mom who has had many lows in her life with the only bright spot being her son, Jackson. For the past five years, she's done whatever she's had to do to make ends meet for her and Jackson. Raelynn has a difficult time trusting others and letting people in, but she hopes working as EJ's nanny can help change that and bring some much needed stability into their lives.
EJ and Raelynn battle with their attraction to one another while struggling to keep a friendly, yet professional relationship. If they give each other a chance, they might just discover the outcome is worth the risk.

Loved!
Another great book from Lindsay Paige! Worth the Risk (Carolina Rebels #5) is Raelynn and EJ's story. The Carolina Rebels hockey romance series is a wonderful series to read and each novel can be read as a standalone, but my personal opinion is that it makes the most sense if you read the books in order.
I think that EJ has earned his way to being one of my favorite Rebels. In reading the Carolina Rebels series, he has made cameos and readers have gotten to see a bit of his journey, but it was very satisfying to see him get his own HEA. Raelynn was not one of my favorite characters at first, though I could understand her anxiety given her past relationship. I thought it was beautifully interesting how Lindsay looked at blended families and the dynamics of that aspect in this novel.
If you like reading about kids/blended families; communication/trust; and the "family" camaraderie of a hockey team, you'll like this novel. I highly recommend Lindsay Paige's novels and the Carolina Rebels hockey series. I can't wait for the next one!

Worth the Risk
A story about blending families. EJ was my favorite character. Rae Lynn not so much. It was good that there was a way to blend families without hurting the kids.
