Writing Is My Life

My first book of poetry, Writing Saved My Life, was something that was really hard for me to put together for a bunch of reasons.  But I sucked it up and did what I needed to do, to get it done.  To my surprise, it received recognition for helping victims of domestic violence find hope.  


I was so genuinely moved to know that my own simple life was helping others out.  I never want to come across as “jaded” or with that “woe is me” attitude.  I am so thankful for what I have, because I know what it’s like to live without feelings, family, love and trust.  


I am optimistic that this collection, Writing Is My Life, will also help people.  It already made me realize that all my hardships were worth the fight.
