Xu Ming's Second Time Down

A time-traveler who has gone back forty years to re-live the same period over again, struggles with the inevitability of history in a bleak time and gets into conflicts with his younger self. The third story in the Retcon Mosaic Narrative, this is an independent story which stands on its own, while being enriched by reading it in the context of the other stories.
