A wonderful and witty adventure. Funny and wise. Lucy Dixon lives a life that is less than glamorous. Her Southern charm and wit, along with common sense, see her through the good and bad times. Would love to see the next phase of her life in Mr. David's next novel.
Best book I've read all year
This was an unexpected joy - a friend recommended, I never would have found it otherwise. I can't remember the last book I read where I was smiling all the way through. I don't know much about show business, but this book explains everything so I was able to feel what the character was going through. I've never really read a book like this - it's just about this girl and her struggles, and she felt like she was me, even though she isn't. I want a successful career and a handsome prince to come rescue me. Until that happens, this book fulfilled the fantasy. It seems to have everything - romance, comedy, drama, betrayal, alcoholism, show tunes and talking dolphins! Read it!
Hilarious and entertaining read!!!
This is almost a fairy tale about what could happen if an actress' dreams all come true, and the struggles along the way. I couldn't put it down for some reason because I cared about the central character. It's also very funny, filled with funny dialogue and descriptions, and the two leading men are hot. Highly recommended beach read.
