A Third Wheel

A rare break in the ever-present the storm caught Miko’s breath. For a moment the air cleared and she could make out the blue sky unbelievably far above her. She snapped a picture because otherwise Pasha would never believe her. Her grin faded. What was that cloud? Rising high above the others like a hideous grey mushroom, it chilled her heart. Was that normal?
