"Can I stay in your room?" Nora asked Grayson. He was her brother Ralph's best friend, and he was one of the few that wouldn't behave like a complete a******e. Sometimes, she trusted him even more than she trusted her own brother.

"What do you mean?" Grayson asked.

"My dear brother put me in the room next to Ollie." She made a grimace just thinking about the flirty d******d that thought every woman was destined to fall into his bed.

Grayson laughed. "I've heard that opposites attract."

"Not in this case. Ollie can wheedle his way into anyone else's bed but mine. He gives me the creeps these days."

"All right. You can stay."

The sigh he uttered wasn't as convincing as his words, but she chose to ignore it. He was a nice man, and this time, she had no qualms taking advantage of that.
