Entertaining
Book two in Kathryn Shay's latest series and this was an entertaining read that captured my attention and drew me in. This time it is fire investigator, Lieutenant Tess Di Marco and arson specialist and widow Captain David Ashford’s story. This is a friends to lovers story that ticked a lot of boxes for me. The connection between Tess and David has been forged over a number of years and is strong and binding.
Working together to try and solve the case of a serial arsonist, neither Tess or David expected the sparks of chemistry that have somehow entered their friendship and complications will arise. Years ago they both had feelings for one another but their lives went in different directions, now both are free to pursue a relationship, the question is will they be prepared to risk their friendship for a second chance at love?
I enjoyed this story line, it was fast paced with some suspense, romance and characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.

At Last is book 2 in the Sisters of Fire Series and I have to say this is shaping up to be a great series.
This book is fire investigator, Lieutenant Tess Di Marco and arson specialist Captain David Ashford’s friends to lovers story. Tess and David have worked together on many cases, they are friends who have had feelings for each other for a while but it’s only recently they both find themselves single so is now the time to act on those feelings, will they be brave enough to cross the line and possibly ruin their friendship…..
This book ticked all my boxes, Tess and David are easy to like and relate too, the chemistry sizzling, the banter witty and once you add in the other Sisters of Fire you get an entertaining read. This is a quick, fast paced read that has the perfect mix of romance and suspense and I highly recommend it.
