Enjoyable
A Different Way is book five in Kathryn Shay's latest series and this was an enjoyable read that drew me in. This time it is Battalion Chief Lynn Lucas and Brady Jamison’s story.
Recently separated Lynn finds herself trying to adjust to her new life and struggling to get her life in order, Lynn is also trying to help her children to adjust to their new normal. When she takes her youngest Trick or Treating she meets widower Brady. The attraction sizzles between them from the start and although Lynn is older than Brady, that doesn’t appear to be an issue between them.
Since their children are close in ages, they continue to run into one another and their relationship develops. I enjoyed this story line, although it is not my favourite of the series. However having said that it was well written and I liked the characters.
It was great to see previous characters pop up whilst reading and that added an extra layer to my enjoyment.
