Publisher Description
I deal in code.
Well, code, social anxiety, and online gaming.
What I don’t deal in is hockey players.
And I certainly don’t deal in hockey players like Connor Smith. He’s brass. He’s loud. He’s funny and charming and…ballsy.
I’m about the furthest thing from ballsy someone can find.
Yet, Connor doesn’t seem to care. From the moment I began working on the player development program for the Baltimore Breakers, Connor had led a campaign to win my heart.
The thing is, I don’t actually want my heart to be won, and the more Connor campaigns, the more I resist. And…the more I resist and argue and push back, the more I find out that I actually can be ballsy.
And the worst thing about that?
It makes Connor campaign even harder.

Great story, ordinary editing
I liked the story, however the proofreader needs to go to Specsavers. Every time a character went to use the word ‘my’, his or her was comically placed there instead. Made for some unusual reading.
Needs a proper copy edit
I have the same issue as a previous reviewer, it says her/him instead of my. It just seems like I’m reading a very poor early version of a book. I also found it grating how much she whispered. And unbelievable that without any dialogue ‘she was it for me’. Completely shallow without substance. I stopped reading before the half way mark. The book has potential to be so good, though currently is in dire need of a copy editor.
Ticked all my boxes
What a beautifully written romance and a perfect addition to the Breakers Hockey Series. This is Connor Smith and Kailey Henderson’s heartwarming, fun yet emotional journey. Kailey hasn’t had an easy life, dealing on a daily basis with her social anxiety means the last thing she needs is a high profile hockey player giving her attention. Her family chose to hide her anxiety issues so when Smitty shows her attention and kindness, it doesn’t take long for her to fall for this big, kindhearted man who is dealing with his own issues. Smitty is determined to see the real Kailey and he goes out of his way help her feel comfortable in her own skin and what follows is a heartwarming romance that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. I loved everything about this book, I smiled, I swooned and I cried as I joined Smitty and Kailey on their journey. Ballsy is a wonderful addition to the series but it can certainly be read and loved as a stand-alone, I fell hard and fast for Smitty and I adored Kailey but it was the support and strength they found in each other that took this book to another level. So I guess all I need to say is please one click this gem, you won’t be disappointed.
