Publisher Description
She had no time in her life for a man.
Least of all a swoony hockey player who was allergic to commitment.
Jules was just trying to give her kid a good life. She worked hard, kept her head down, and avoided men like the plague.
Because men were a plague.
There was a reason she was a single mom, scraping together an existence, and faking it for her kid.
She’d been burned. Bad.
It didn’t matter that Cas was successful and smart and could kiss like a dream…
It didn’t matter that he wanted her.
She wouldn’t put her heart on the line.
Not ever again.

All the feels
I love catching up with the Baltimore Breakers Hockey Team and single mum Julie (Jules) Blackstar and Breakers defense man Luca (Cas) Castillo is a wonderful addition to this great series.
Jules is doing her best for her son Ethan, she attends school and works as a waitress to makes end meet and the last thing on her mind is love or a relationship. Her past will always make her wary of men but Cas is loving and caring and he is determined to show her not all men are the same…….
Problem is Jules trust does not come easily so will she learn to trust and take a leap of faith. One click now to find out what the future holds for Cas, Jules and the adorable Ethan.
I loved everything about this book, Cas stole my heart and I adored Jules but what took this book to another level was watching Cas slowly break down walls that Jules had built, it was the patience and kindness he showed as well as his love that had no bounds in this heartwarming romance that stayed with me long after reading the final word. This was a entertaining yet emotional read that captivated from the first page and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.
My favourite
This was a fabulous addition to the Breakers Hockey series and is single mum Julie (Jules) Blackstar and Baltimore Breaker’s defense man Luca (Cas) Castillo and it ticked all the boxes for me. In fact, it may be my favourite of the series.
Jules is living a very hectic. Single mum to Ethan, working as a waitress and attending school she has no time for the hot and hunky Cas and having been badly burned in the past, the last thing she needs is the hockey player in her life.
I fell hard and fast for Cas, such a swoon worthy, loving and caring man he is my latest book boyfriend. He has been attracted to her for a while and has finally decided to make his move. I really admired his determination to be there for Jules and her son Ethan and it was heart warming to watch the love and support that he gave them.
It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed and Cas finally broke down the walls that Jules has built. These two were so well suited to one another and their story made for a wonderful and emotional read. As always the camaraderie between the players and their significant others also added an additional layer to the story. It was also heart warming to watch as Cas also developed a relationship with Ethan.
