Boldly is book 2 in the Breakers Hockey Series and Oliver James and Hazel Reid’s story is the perfect addition to this series. From the moment I picked this book up i knew there would be no putting down until I had read the final word, I was intrigued and captivated by Oliver and Hazel’s journey. Oliver is recovering from an injury that ended his hockey playing career, he is trying to work out where he goes next so when the management of the Baltimore Breakers proposed he take control of the Player Development Department it seems his future has been decided. This job does have some strings and one of them is meeting with the teams psychologist, Hazel James so how will Oliver react to the woman who has his future in her hands…….. From the moment these two met sparks fly, the attraction is instant and the chemistry is sizzling but will either of them be prepared cross the line and possibly ruin their careers. This book has all the feels, it touched me on so many levels as I joined this emotional roller coaster. I smiled, I cried, I laughed and I sighed but everything I felt was worth it because this is a beautifully written love story that I will certainly be recommending to anyone who will listen. Can’t wait to see who’s story is next from the Baltimore Breakers.
Riveting
Book two in the latest series from Elise Faber and I could not wait to dive in to Oliver James and Hazel Reid’s story. I was so absorbed in the story that Ms. Faber wove that I read Boldly in almost one go, only putting it down when real life got in my way.
Oliver is recovering from an injury that forced him to re-evaluate his life and goals after a cheap shot destroyed his hockey career and almost his life. After a massive infection meant that Oliver lost part of his leg below the knee, he knew he would never play in the NHL again.
When the management of the Baltimore Breakers propose he head up the Player Development Department he appreciates that he will once again be able to be involved in the sport that has always been his life. However it comes with strings, he has to talk with the team’s psychologist, Hazel and Oliver knows that she holds his future in her hands.
This was an emotional roller coaster of a book about having to look deep into ones soul, of overcoming life changing events and coming to terms with what life deals you. There were moments where I was moved to tears, moments where I laughed out loud and moments where I swooned.
I am so glad that Oliver and Hazel were able to move forge a wonderful future together.
