Austin Prescott is a lot of things. Ex football player. Sports agent. And as of this morning? Father. Finding a baby on his doorstep should have been a joke but the pink sticky note and baby carrier she came in is deadly serious.
What’s an out of his depth bachelor to do? Call his tempting and beyond gorgeous executive assistant and beg her to move in.
Quinnlyn Stone agrees to help Austin until he can straighten out his messy life. It’s just another item on her very long To-Do list. It’s absolutely not because she’s attracted to her very single and extremely handsome boss.

Entertaining
I was so excited when I learnt that Carly Phillips was commencing a new series and with Dare to Resist she is off to a flying start.
There is something about her style of writing that I love. The Preston siblings sound like an intriguing group and I cannot wait to read more in their series. Dare to Resist ticks all the boxes for me, from Alpha males, to feisty heroines, to family love and support, throw in a surprise baby and I was riveted from the first to the last page.
This is Austin Prescott and Quinnlyn (Quinn) Stone’s story and though not a particularly long read, it was highly entertaining. The chemistry and attraction between Austin and Quinn has simmered for over a year as she works as his assistant and they have done their best to ignore it although it is scorching and intense.
When a surprise baby is left on Austin’s doorstep, he immediately asks his assistant to help. Quinn of course is happy to help and unknown to Austin she has had plenty of experience with babies, having virtually raised her siblings. When he convinces Quinn to move in to help out, the chemistry that has been simmering explodes.
I loved the slow build in their relationship, it was sweet, romantic and steamy. I also loved how all in Austin was with baby Jenny, even though he didn’t know whether she was actually his. Watching Quinn’s growth as she realized that all her pre conceived ideas of not having children needed to be re assessed was heart warming.
Dare To Resist was an emotional, totally hot and altogether great read which I didn’t want to put down.
