High expectations simply blown away!
It was well past my normal bedtime when I was randomly searching through iBooks and up popped this diamond of a book. My anticipation had been somewhat marred by my impatience, but all that emotion became something more like mania as I downloaded the book and proceeded to read until my eyes were hanging out of my head. I took it to work, I spent a whole Saturday on the couch, refusing to move until it was done.
Laini Taylor, you're an absolute marvel, and an inspiration to a hobbyist writer like myself. Your twists, your revelations, your devastating descriptiveness that teleports Karou's pain, her joy, her guilt and sorrow right into the heart of the reader.
Simply unputdownable, and I honestly don't know how I'm going to stand the wait to find out what happens next!

Excellent.. Where is the third book???
Good but all over the place
This book at times was a bit all over the place. To many characters having their own chapter and going back and forth. It was like one step forward and two steps backwards. It was a little confusing.
The book started to pick up about half way through. The last part of the book was dramatic and does make you want to read the next instalment.
