An emotive read
You can run from a lie…but you can’t hide from the truth…
This is a tale of family, secrets and heartache, that follows three women, Bonnie, Alice and her daughter Lauren, each with a story to tell and secrets to hide. I do enjoy these type of stories and Timoney has done a great job delivering a gripping and emotive page turner.
The characters were well developed and played their roles well. When the paths of the 3 women cross, a friendship is formed between Bonnie and Laura, which arouses suspicion from Alice, who instantly felt uneasy around Bonnie. I was drawn to Bonnie the most and her backstory.
This is the first book I have read from Timoney and it was a great introduction to her work. It kept me engaged throughout and I was invested in the story and it’s characters. All round this was a very enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more from the author.
